TRIBUNAL SACKS NNPP FEDERAL LAWMAKER OVER CERTIFICATE FORGERY

The National and State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal has affirmed that Idris Dankawu of NNPP has forged his West African School Certificate, (WAEC) he used to contest election of Kumbotso Federal House of Representatives Constituency.Munir Babba Danagudi filed the petition praying the court to declare that Dankawu has forged his Secondary School Certificate to secured admission into Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Kaduna.In his judgement justice I.P Chima averred that the Idris Dankawu of NNPP has forged his WAEC certificate and accordingly voided the election.The Tribunal ordered INEC to set aside the Certificate of return given to Dankawu and declare Munir Babba Danagudi winner of the Kumbotso Federal Constituency election held on 25th Feb. March.

“Having satisfied with provision of the law, we are hereby declare and return Munir Babba Danagudi as winner of the Kumbotso Federal House Representatives Election.

NDLEA FOILS 399 EXPLOSIVES SHIPMENTS TO KADUNA, SEIZES 2 TONS OF ILLICIT DRUGS

NDLEA agents have successfully halted the smuggling of skunk hidden within tomato paste cans and methamphetamine concealed within used clothing, intended for export to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

In a series of successful operations on Friday, September 8th, NDLEA agents intercepted a 20.00-kilogram shipment of skunk cleverly concealed within tomato paste containers at the SAHCO export shed of Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja. Simultaneously, they seized 1.60 kilograms of methamphetamine at a courier company in Lagos.

Additionally, NDLEA officers intercepted a 556-gram package of Canadian Loud from Canada destined for Tunji Adebayo in Ikorodu, Lagos. Despite Adebayo’s absence during the visit to his residence on 52, Aina Atoloye Street, Ikorodu, he directed his younger brother to sign for the package, resulting in his brother’s immediate arrest.

Meanwhile, NDLEA operatives on Monday 4th September raided the enclave of a notorious drug lord in Akala, Mushin, Lagos, Abdul Rauf (aka ‘Na God’) where 1,101kgs of Ghanaian Loud were recovered and three suspects arrested while the wanted kingpin remains at large.

In Kogi, 22-year-old Agada Emmanuel was arrested with 77.400kgs cannabis on Thursday 7th September along Okene – Lokoja – Abuja expressway while a total of 369,980 pills of opioids were also recovered on the same road on Monday 4th September and the suspect linked to the seizure, Kabiru Ahmad Abdullahi arrested in a follow up operation in Gombe state.
