Mass Communication students Association (MACOSA) held it’s annual Election in an organized and peaceful atmosphere at the department on 28th September of this year.
The election that comprises aspirants both from National Diploma and Higher National Diploma portrays the nature of politics and how it’s function among students in the college and campus at large.
Mass Communication Department gives the criteria for the contestant of various positions to be possess by each candidate as requirements before passing the screening stage and be among those seeking positions to engage in running the association activities.
Before the election date, an electoral committee were formed and assigned to come-up with election process schedules by the PATRON of the Association, and all needful hands were joined together to provide an excellent outcome of the election.
The election was hold on Tuesday 28th September 2021, at mass communication lecture complex at the college of liberal studies, whereby each student undergoing his studies under mass communication were given a right to cast his vote to the candidate based on his own taste and personal interest without enforcement.
Reaching the stipulated time to round-off casting of votes, the counting of votes was hold on that due moment in the presence of all electoral committee members and other delegates representing the contestant, and the final result were loudly announced.
Furthermore, during the election conduct, regular supervision and courtesy visit were paid by PATRON and other staffs from the department, also the masses around the environment declares the election as freely and fairly that is rigorously conducted in conducive atmosphere.
Also, with no chaos and riots, upon the announcement of result the losers admits defeat and express their joyousness to those emerged winners of the election.
In his vote of thanks to the electoral committee, the PATRON of the association forward his appreciation and recommend the committee members for their tireless efforts and dedication for ensuring the conduct of free and fair election, he also present an accolades to the mass communication department for sparing time on MACOSA election.
