Popular Islamic scholar Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa has voluntarily stepped down as the Commander-General of Kano’s Hisbah Board.
Daurawa who announced his decision from Kaduna via a video shared on his social media handle on Friday, accused Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of discouraging him.
The cleric said Abba’s comments was discouraging to him despite his efforts to promote societal morality during his tenure at Hisbah.
He apologised to the governor for any wrong doing but announced his resignation.
