EDUCATION STAKEHOLDERS HAVE CALLS ON FG TO FOCUS MORE ON INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT).

Education stakeholders have advised the Federal Government to review the school curriculum and focus more on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as part of efforts to create wealth and promote self-reliance.

While speaking on the Youth Leadership summit titled, “Imaging the future,” Founder, Eduxtra Solutions, Dr. DolapoTukuru, said the present school curriculum would not help Nigeria students prepare for the future, Improvement should be made as soon possible

Tukuru stated that it is important to let students know the power of technology, as emerging professions are hinged on technology. He said:

 “We want to introduce technology to students so that they can start early to incorporate this trend into learning.

Even if schools don’t welcome the trend, students can get relevant information through the platform we created for them. We must remember that the world has become a global market and we must make out time to produce students that can compete with others from any place across the globe.”

Principal facilitator, Invent Youth Leadership Initiative, Mr. Elijah Olupona, said the event was aimed at preparing youths and secondary school students for future challenges that is coming.
