Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, has matriculated over 3,000 students for the 2021/2021 academic session

At the event held at the institution’s multipurpose hall, the rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Ibrahim Mudi Kurfi enjoined the matriculants to live a fair and righteous life by living harmoniously with their colleagues and obeying the laid down rules and regulations.

Dr. Kurfi, who warned them against using illegal means to get marks, urged the staff of the institution to be alive to their responsibilities by giving the students the desired attention to succeed in their academic pursuit.

The rector while thanking the state governor for approving the 65 years retirement age for non-academic staff, also urged him to implement the new salary package for them.

In his remarks, the Special Adviser, department of higher education, Bashir Usman Ruwan godiya, charged the students to be security wise and report any unusual movement or person to the authorities concerned for prompt action.

Represented by the permanent secretary of the department, Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Kabasiyu, the special adviser warned them against drugs abuse, sexual activities, cultism for a successful academic journey.
