The management of Hassan Usman katsina polytechnic marked the new year by conducting an important routine maintenance at the female hostel in campus.
This was done as a result of vandalization of electrical equipment at the female hostel by unknown persons that occurred on the 15th day of December, 2021.
According to the student affairs officer Mansur Yahaya El-ladan during an interview with HUK mass communication correspondents , he said the degree of the incident made the school authority to take necessary measures in order to avoid further occurrence. He also mention that the issue has been resolved.
The female residents of the hostel were informed on the period of time needed for the exercise which led to adjournment of date of hostel opening which in turn affects resumption of students especially those residing in the hostel.
However the exercise did not affect academic activities of the school as lectures continue and students attends classes.
