Open defication has been described as a bad habit by students of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic and can lead to spread of disease.
According to student affairs officer, they are aware of the defication around the hostel and “the students are human and for them to do that, means they are not doing what is right, it is a bad habit”.
However, you can not do anything about it because, no concrete evidence and witness on a particular persons that are involved and there must be witness or evidence to caught someone behaving in such manner.
Furthermore, there are many toilets around the hostel for them to use but, they decided to use the back of their hostel and road.
Moreover, the management assign some porters in order to keep the environment always clean and anybody caught involve in such act will face punishment.
