HASSAN USMAN SET TO COMMENCE FOURTH AND SECOND SEMESTER EXAMINATION ,A SLIDE SHIFT IN AVERAGE PAST WEST AFRICA CERTIFICATE EXAMINATIONS IN THE 2023 EXAMINATION

Cross section of students at Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic put tightens belt as timetable surfaces despite poor performance in first and third semester examinations and WAEC says result for senior secondary schools ready for collection. Education is said to be the key to success and when not properly acquired might leads to a complete or total failure in acquiring and able to perform ones choice of career. The first and third semester result was released with uncertain number of students having carried over. Which have drastically cut down numbers of students participating in class activities. Speaking to some of the students who claim anonymous blame the consistent dropped in academic performance to hard and difficult life style of students .he also said the difficulties poor or improper eating of balance diet due to economic constraint. He calls on all stake holders in the educational and managerial; sector of education to look into the biting issues. A nonacademic staff who hails from the department of mass communication said the failure is mostly due to poor reading culture of the students who have relent to watching of movies, partying and missing classes, he said students who don’t attends classes and believe is just to read and past end up with a very poor result, he there by urge students to do away with merriments and focus on books in other to archive success as timetable for the second and fourth semester is out.

Also the West African Examination Council has release the results of the 2023 West African senior school certificate for private candidate across the country his was made available by the acting head of public affairs, WAEC Nigeria,Moyosola Adesina,on Tuesday evening 13th February 2024According to her, only 46,267 out of 80, 904 candidates who sat for the examination score a minimum of five credits ,She said this translates to 57.19% of candidates obtaining credits and above in a minimum of five credits subjects with or without English and or mathematics.
