Dozens of properties destroyed in a fire outbreak, the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday. The fire outbreak occurred in room three block B of Muhammadu Kanti Bello Hostels of Hassan Usman Katsina polytechnic Katsina state.
The fire destroyed all goods including food stuff, mattresses, clothe and official documents of the victims, while the victims of the incidents were in lecture premises.
An eye witness who plead for anonymity disclosed that the reasons of the fire outbreak are unknown, he also added that the cleaners, students and the officers in charge of the hostel contributed a lot in controlling the fire.
Meanwhile the president of the student union government (SUG) Hassan Usman Katsina polytechnic chapter urges the student to be taking extra care of all their electrical equipment before going to lectures.
