. A business woman in Katsina state central market, who sells garri, stock fish,rice,palm oil,dry fish,and egusi ,Mrs Victoria Adeyemi has said that foodstuffs are increasing in price, every single day.
. According to her,for the past six years bag of rice was seven thousand but now it is over twenty five thousand naira in the market,and bag of egusi was twelve thousand naira,it has increased to sixty thousand per bag,and there is no money to buy these things because they are too expensive.
. She added that,the inflation is really affecting her business because people no longer buy the way they use to.Before , with a little amount of money,she can purchase her goods,when it finishes,but now even three hundred thousand won’t be enough to purchase goods in the market.
. “Government should help in tackling this issue of insecurity because it is also contributing to the inflation of food ,when goods finishes people are afraid of traveling to far places to get cheaper goods because of the insecurity.
