INTER TRIBAL MARRIAGE

Department of Mass communication,Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic has introduce film production techniques as a course for HND students.The course is among the newly introduce courses in a 2014 NBTE curriculum introduced by National Board for technical Education NBTE.The goal is to teach the students production techniques.

As part of practicals HND two students of 2019/2020 session produces a film titled’Inter Tribal Marriage’.

In an interview with one of the protagonist Musa Yahaya Musa who played the role of Emeka, Husband to Kofo mentioned that, initially inter Tribal Marriage was not what they thought of, but when one of their members thought of it,they decided to go for it.

Further more, Musa Yahaya Musa added that during the production,they encountered a lot of conflict as the course of the production, which hindered them from producing the film on time, but still with that, they came to an understanding and the production was however successful.

According to him, in the course of the production,he learnt a lot and learnt what unity is, and that unity is the key to any relationships and what they want to relate which is what brought about the idea is to send message that marriage between two individuals from different cultures, different traditions, different beliefs coming together as one, they have to be unity among them before it could work.
