Katsina State Education Sector is now better than I met it says Governor Aminu Bello Masari.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State says he will be leaving the education sector of the State in 2023 better than the he met it as governor in 2015.

He said this when he was featured on the News Agency Of Nigeria (NAN) flagship programme, NAN forum, in Katsina.

In a similar development he mentioned his achievements in other sectors like agriculture, health, water and infrastructure development and also his “Restoration Agenda” in the last six years, were unprecedented in modern history of Katsina State.

Speaking further on his achievements in education sector, he said there was improvement in the total number of pupil enrolment and general performance in external examinations.

Gov. Aminu Bello Masari also revealed that for those who could not proceed to tertiary institutions, the state government is also in partnership with UK Department for International Development (DEID) and Mafita as equipped about 12 vocational training centres to cater for their needs.

Meanwhile, he said it is politically wise to present 30,000 students if he can get 70 percent performance of those who have five credits and above to go to higher institutions than to present 58,000 students with only 5,000 successful.

Conclusively, he urged and engaged the traditional and religious leaders on the need to let the people see why they should send their children to school.
