Katsina State government lifts ban on cattle market and filling station in the affected local government

Katsina State government has ordered the reopening of cattle market and filling station of fifteen local governments in the state which was shutdown since 30th of August last year as a result of insurgency and banditry activities in the affected local government and also allows the transport of cattles to all part of the country.

The Governor Aminu Bello Masari disclosed this in a statement signed by the secretary to the State Government Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa on Saturday 15th January 2022

The affected Local Government find it difficult in selling their cattles and buying of petrol for their daily activities since the inception of the security containment order in the State.

The Government also urge the two Emirates councils Daura and Katsina to be vigilant and monitor the activities of buying and selling of cattles in their respected areas.

The statement also warned that the government would not hesitate to re-enact the closure where resurgence of any dubious activities is noticed.
