Multimedia studio is one of the studios in the Department of Mass Communication Hassan Usman Usman Katsina Polytechnic, Katsina. for the online journalism students. The studio was established as a result of the introduction of new courses by the National Board for Technical Education NBTE.
The studio technologist, Malam Ibrahim Muhammad explains some of the activities in the studio which include teaching practicals in the field of Multimedia and online Journalism as well as Film Production Techniques courses respectively.
However, he also viewed on the new curriculum that was introduced by the National Body for Technical Education (NBTE) for the students of mass communication.
He further disclosed that their aim and goal is to teach the students the fundamentals and the practice of online journalism and multimedia which includes editing of audio clips, video clips, and as well publishing of news content.
Meanwhile, he also viewed on the challenges they encounter when conducting practicals in the studio such as insufficient equipments, issue of electricity and other necessary things needed in the studio. He also pleads with the school management and the state government to provide the necessary equipment for successful practicals.
