Nigeria advanced in to African cup of nations final

The super eagles qualified for the African cup of nations ( Afcon ) after defeating south Africa on penalty shootout which ended 4-2, this gave Nigeria a chance to play Afcon final again since 2013 after they won the tournament at South Africa.

Nigeria take the lead in 68 minutes after Nigerian captain William Troost-Ekong convert penalty kick before South Africa equalize at 90 minutes through penalty kick by Teboho Mokoena which lead the game to extra time, South African defender Grent Kekana sent off after fouled Nigerian attacker Terem Moffi on 115th minutes of extra time, the match ended 1-1 and advanced to penalty shootout.

Nigeria skeeper, Stanley Nwabili plays a vital role on Nigeria progress by saving two penalties out of four kicked by South Africans, Nigeria scores four penalties and missed one by Ola Aina . Now the super eagles are about to play the final game against the host Ivory Coast, the match will be play on Sunday 11th February 2024 by 9:00pm at Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
