People in the state have been urged to comply with state government directives on the closure of some fuelling station due to banditry activities in the state.
Muhammad Lawal Aliyu, the state chairman committee on the monitoring of supply and distribution of petroleum made the call during an interactive session with members of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria Katsina state Chapter at Katsina state Secretariat conference hall.
Alhaji Muhammad Lawal Aliyu said the decision made by the state government became necessary in order to tackle the menace of banditry activities in the state
The chairman of the committee mentioned the fuel stations that allowed to sell the petroleum products in the affected 14 local government areas, urging the marketers to bear with the order which according to him will not take long time
While appreciating the effort of Katsina state government’s effort in curbing the menace of insecurity in the state, the state chairman Independent Petroleum Marketers Association Alhaji Abbas Hamza said, the order came in a right time considering the evil act of bandits in the state and north western part of the country
At the end of the gathering, the olive marketers thanked the state government for taking measures to address the security challenges in the state.
