Minister of communication and degital economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami hinted that a robust degital can result to critical and secure sustainable digital economy. He disclosed the issue at the commissioning of the 12 digital economy projects cross the country.
The event which took place in eight countries across the country,were carried out at emergency communication centre(ECC) .
During the virtual commissioning, pantami said, the event holds a greater level of significance as it marks two years since he became a minister
According to him”the project commissioned are in line with our general approach for locating project, these project are situated in all the six geopolitical zone of the country and the federal capital Territory Abuja.
The minister Said,the degital economy policy is highly dependent on data, which scholars has described as the oil, life blood water and new currency of the degital economy.
He noted”A robust degital identify programm is critical to robust, secure and sustainable digital economy in line with this foundation identity provides the data required to unlock the potential of a degital economy.
At the end, pantami encouraged host communities and beneficiaries of all the ministry’s projects and programme’s to ensure the take full advantage of the facilities and skills for the benefit of their communities and the nation.
