In order to improve service delivery, the office of the Accountant General of Katsina State has made some realignments as follows:
The Sub treasury offices at Daura, Mani, Kankia, Malumfashi, Dutsin-Ma, and Funtua have been subsumed into Efficiency Department as Zonal Efficiency Offices. The staff of these offices are to carry out efficiency functions in their various locations and report to the Director, Efficiency Department.
Salary and Computer Department is to now be called ICT and General Services Department. It is saddled with the responsibility of developing the IT skills of the staff of the AGs office state wide. They will supervise Registry, liase with consultants on STA matters, handle Internet subscription, procurement, and other matters.
Salary and Pension will now be a unit under the office of the Accountant General and reporting to the AG.
An IPSAS implementation team has also been set up to serve as the liason between the office of the AG and any external body on IPSAS matters, including the office of the Accountant General of the Federation. The 3-man team would be inaugurated shortly.
It is hoped that those charged with the responsibilities would justify the confidence reposed in them.
