The 5g network was approved at the Council meeting on Wednesday, following the presentation by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami).
According to the minister,The 5G Policy, aimed at catering for the country’s digital economy. the National Policy on 5G use two years in the development, due to the need for stakeholder engagement that involve many.

The minister also says the policy consider the report of the 3-month 5G started on 25th of November 2019. He seriously consider and study the health and security implications of deploying 5G in Nigeria.
World Health Organisation [WHO] and International Telecommunications Union [ITU], confirm that the deployment of 5G networks leave no adverse health effect and is safe, says Government.
