The student union government (SUG) of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic organised its 1st student week programme which took place for 3days.
The program was divided into 3 segment featuring; Speech Contest, Environmental Sanitation,Cultural and arts exhibitions It was held in the campus MultiPurpose Hall.
Firstly, the speech Contest took place where representatives of the 7 colleges of the institution participated. Dignities at the event include Rec.Mal Aminu Kallah Doroh, Staff of students affairs, Academic staffs and non Academic staffs of the institution. The rector gave kudos to the SUG for organising such a wonderful event, He also promised to organised a soft skill workshop to help equipped the student wherever they find themselves in the outside world.
Secondly, Students of huk poly observed environmental sanitation has programmed by the SUG. The Sug distributed 116 brooms to every department and hostels to observe the sanitation and customised shirt were worn by the student to rally around the school premises for the sanitation, the students affairs were present to supervise the activities.
Thirdly, the cultural and art exhibition took place where different ethnic tribes in the institution showcase the art and beauty of their culture,the tribes ranging from Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo among others represented their culture through dressing, greetings,and the event was entertain with different cultural dances by each every tribe present.
